Shabbat Enamel Candlesticks
Traditionally, on Friday nights we light the Sabbath candles. As the candles burn down we remember that God has set aside the Sabbath as a day of rest because we are a people holy to the Lord. This is the traditional prayer said after the candles are lit.
Baruch atah Adonai, Elohaynu, melech ha-olam asher keed'shanu b'meetzvotav v'tzeevanu lhadlik neir shel shabbat
(Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who has made us holy through His commandments and commanded us to kindle the Sabbath light).
